Every kite we make follows the sizes approved for Basant 2027. Sizes are measured across the widest point of the kite, and tawa refers to the size of the gudda frame.
Approved sizes at a glance
| Kite | Size | Best for | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Tawa Gudda | [approved size] | Light to medium wind | Rs 300 |
| 1.5 Tawa Gudda | [approved size] | Medium to strong wind | Rs 600 |
| 4.5 Githi Patang | [approved size], per raqam | Light wind, quick flying | Rs 15,000 |
Choosing the right size
A 1 tawa gudda is the easiest to launch and handle in light winds. A 1.5 tawa gudda needs a steadier breeze and a stronger dor. Patang are lighter and are usually bought by the raqam.
If a kite is outside the approved size, we do not make it.
Dor for each size
Pair a 1 tawa gudda with a 2 PC pinna and a 1.5 tawa gudda with a 4 PC pinna. All our dor is plain cotton. Read why we only sell cotton dor.
